BWVC helps to support various organizations within Valencia County. We actively work to make this a better place to live!
Senior Needs: Prepare 30 baskets
that went out to senior citizens in dire need.
Student Needs: Ann Parish Elementary
School is a low income school, and many children don’t have uniforms or
school supplies. From our donations, BWVC has made it possible for the
school to turn down a grant for funds. This allowed another school in Valencia County to
benefit from the grant.
VC Animal Shelter: BWVC was able to
donate enough money to build another kennel at the Shelter.
VC Domestic Violence Shelter: We donated 12 sets of
new dishes to the VC Domestic Violence Shelter as well as quarterly
financial support for their outreach program.
Trash Pickup: BWVC has adopted a stretch of Hwy 263 and actively works to keep it clear of litter and debris.
Valencia County CASA was a local nonprofit organization that provides advocates for children going through the court system because of abuse or neglect.Last year, they were low on funds for their Christmas presents for each CASA kid. Each member of BWVC took a child’s wish list and filled it. We delivered two carloads full of bikes, skate boards, MP3 players, games, clothes and toys so those deserving children had a little better Christmas.Although CASA has closed its doors, this year we will do the same thing to help Valencia County’s Cops for Kids.
Valencia County’s Blue Star Mothers:Theyreceive quarterly support from BWVC in order to cover the cost of mailing care packages to our military men and women who are far from home.
